Senior Programmer Analyst
We are looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our IS team of professionals. He or she will play an active role in the design and development of our corporate wide systems in addition to working with our internal customers. The qualified candidate should have strong inter-personal communication skills and the desire to learn the business behind our applications. Prior Project Management experience and analysis skills are desirable. The successful candidate must be able to work in both a team and individual environment and should be a motivated self-starter.
This position is an advanced level programmer responsible for entire web application software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2008.
Responsibilities:
· Clear and concise translation of high level requirements into detailed technical designs
· Provides accurate design and development estimates from technical requirements
· Web Application Development using .NET Framework 2.0 or greater (VB & ASP)
· Database Design and Analysis using SQL Server 2008
· Proper coding techniques and best practices including code repository and SDLC methodologies
· Development of management reports (currently migrating to SQL Server Reporting Services)
· Software testing, release, and maintenance
· Application documentation, training and support
· Recommendations for process improvement
Requirements:
· 5+ years proven success in application analysis and design
· 5+ years demonstrated web application development experience with .Net
· 5+ years demonstrated experience with advanced database analysis, design, and programming
· using SQL Server 2008 including stored procedures, database tuning, and indexing
· Experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
· Strong Self-starter who shows initiative and ability to work independently or part of a small team
· Demonstrated creative problem solving abilities (think out of the box)
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Extremely well organized and detail oriented
· Exposure to SQL Server Analysis Services SQL Integration Services, SQL Reporting Services, and Subversion is desirable.
