Open Position

Healthcare Supply Chain Analyst / Auditor

"Audit and Recovery," sounds typical, but this position is quite the contrary! At The Audit Group, Inc., our professionals are well known for using their exceptional audit skills to discover and recover funds lost to hospital vendors, to analyze hospital purchasing systems and to offer expert system consulting services. If you are an independent thinker, like the freedom of fast-paced, low-structure environment, and the prestige of working for the industry leader, read on!

We currently need an experienced professional who is looking for an amazing opportunity with a company that values its employees as the core of its business. In this role, you will be training to perform the position of Lead Auditor to the satisfaction of your own high standards, as well as those of the company and the client.  As a Lead, you will be fully in charge of your site as you manage the audit process from kick off through close out, and hold responsibility for the success and profitability of your assignment.  If chosen to join our select team in this role, we will provide you with the training, tools and technology you'll need to thrive in this challenging and rewarding position.

Travel

Our hospital clients are in all parts of the contiguous United States. To provide our unsurpassed services, our Auditors travel to and remain on site for the duration of the audit (usually 2-3 months). Bottom line, depending on where you live, you will probably be away from home about 90% of the time. This could mean working 10 miles from home or 1000 miles away.

Relocation

Our auditors live all over the country! You can too. And, if you've always wanted to live in the mountains, by the sea, or on a deserted island, you don't need to be constrained by the job opportunities there. With The Audit Group, live anywhere and work everywhere. If you fall in love with a city you happen to be working in, move there! Some of our auditors have done just that.

Training, Development and Advancement

The key to success is knowledge. At The Audit Group, we have a deep commitment to our competency-based training program. Our goal is to build upon your already considerable skill set to help you develop the knowledge and competencies necessary to become a wildly successful Lead Auditor.

Depending on your education, initial skill set, work experience and speed of learning, you will master our competency-based training program within six to nine months.

Compensation and Benefits

As a valued employee of The Audit Group, Inc., you can take advantage of our

  1. Great Benefits
  2. Base pay
  3. Generous, performance-based compensation

Could you be our ideal candidate?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where do I live on the road and who pays for my expenses?

A. Instead of telling you where you will be staying and how you will live on the road, we pay you well and let you make those decisions. You pay your own expenses and you decide how, where and with whom you want to live.  You create the on-the-road lifestyle that is right for you.

Q. How much does an Auditor spend on the road each month?

A. That depends on how they live, who they bring with them, where they are and how often they visit home. Usually, the range will be $800 - $2000 per month, and will most likely be approximately $1200 per month.

Q. So, how much can I expect to bring home after paying my travel expenses?

A. Once you are promoted into the performance-based compensation program, the sky?s the limit!  But, for illustrative purposes:

If your base + commission totals $75,000
And you live an average on-the-road lifestyle at $14,000
You will be paid, and taxed on, $61,000

Q. So, are my expenses tax deductible then?

A. Yes! You will love hearing about our IRS Approved Expense Plan.

Q. How far from my 'home base' will I travel?

A. You could be across town or across the country. You could be in Texas, then Jersey, then Missouri; it depends on where the audit is that needs your special skill set.

Q. What if I want to stay in a specific area of the country?

A. We have to consider what audits need to be staffed and what skill set will be needed for those audits. If we need your special skills in Tallahassee, we need you in Tallahassee! We do try to put you where you want to be, but it is not always possible.

Q. How many people are on an audit?

A. Most of the time there will be a team of at least 2 people.

Q. How would I get to my audit sites?

A. The vast majority of our Auditors will drive. For many people, if they are to be in a city for 2 or 3 months they very much want to have their cars with them for the freedom of personal transportation.

Q. What types of places will I stay in and how do I make those arrangements?

A. Whatever makes you comfortable! Most of our Auditors will stay in apartments. Others will stay in extended stay facilities, with friends or family, in rented rooms and occasionally hotels. Arrangements are made with the help of the Internet, lists from our current Auditors, information from friends and family or other personal contacts.

Q. In a position with so much personal and professional freedom, would I be considered a contractor or an employee?

A. An employee. We have had amazing success with giving our employees the tools required to do the job and allowing them the freedom to decide how to use them. The position does have many of the exciting qualities of a contract position, but still providing the benefits of an employment situation.

Q. How do I apply and how long until I know if I have been selected?

A. If this job was designed with you in mind, send us your resume.

If there might be a good match between what we're both looking for, you'll be contacted within four weeks.

We value diversity because we value people and performance.
